When was Brentwood Forest built?

BFcondos.com | Community Association | Brentwood Forest

Brentwood Forest was originally built on 110 park-like acres in the 1950s as an apartment complex called Audubon Park. The street names followed the “Audubon” (bird) theme, with names like Swan Circle, Wrenwood Lane, Canary Cove, and Cardinal Terrace.

Then, beginning in 1980, the entire community was redeveloped and converted into condominiums. The process took several years and involved completely gutting buildings, reconfiguring floor plans, and constructing some new buildings. The complex was renamed Brentwood Forest and is now home to 1,425 one- and two-story condos.

There are dozens of floor plans throughout the community. In general, most condos are two-bedroom units with one, one-and-a-half, or two bathrooms. There are less than 100 one-bedroom, one-bathroom units, and there are even fewer three-bedroom units.

What does the condo fee cover?

Brentwood Forest condo owners enjoy low annual condo fees, and the association has never levied a special assessment. Condo fees, which vary based on unit size, include: exterior maintenance of the buildings and grounds, sewer, water, landscaping, gardening, snow removal, management fees, master insurance policy and contractor expenses for the ongoing improvements of the community. This is subject to change. Click here to read more about condo fees on the official association site.

Does the association allow pets?

Dogs, cats, birds and other pets are permitted, subject to Board approval and rules and regulations posted on the official association site. Click here to read more.

Who manages Brentwood Forest?

The Brentwood Forest Condominium Association office is located at the northern edge of the community. The staff includes the general manger, property manager, maintenance manager, and two support staff. The Board of Managers is comprised of 10 condo owners who are elected to a two-year term. Residents are invited to the monthly Board of Managers meetings to ask questions and voice concerns. The association publishes a monthly newsletter to inform residents of upcoming improvement projects and community events.
